Back office and incoming manager (m, f, d) for full-time in Cape Verde

We are looking for a back office and incoming manager (m, f, d) to join our incoming tour agency as soon as possible.

Who are we?

Vem Conhecer Cabo Verde (VCCV) operates as an incoming tour agency working closely with individual German-speaking clients and with special tour operator Reiseträume Kapverden. VCCV looks after the clients from Reiseträume Kapverden while they are staying at their destination. In addition, VCCV supports Reiseträume Kapverden by providing travel advice and preparing travel proposals. Therefore, as part of VCCV, you will work directly with the team of Reiseträume Kapverden.

Every person has their own unique wishes, priorities, and needs. We aim to enable our travellers to authentically experience the beauty, diversity, and warmth of Cape Verde, on the same level as the local people. Our focus, therefore, lies on travel arrangements for individuals.

As an incoming tour agency, VCCV also works with other tour operators, for whom we assist with arranging complete round trips, as well as individual travel arrangements.

What you can expect – your tasks:

  • As a back office and incoming manager, you are responsible for the back office and incoming business
  • Together with a colleague, you are responsible for your back office team
  • You are the link between the back office and the sales team, as well as the management
  • After receiving the booking, you take care of reserving the services booked by the customer with our service providers together with your team. As soon as all services have been confirmed by the service providers, you inform the responsible team member and, if necessary, create the service vouchers for our customers
  • You will be in daily contact with our partners
  • In your position, you support the development and creation of new programs and themed trips
  • You work closely with the team of Reiseträume Kapverden

What we expect - your profile:

  • A passion for Cape Verde: As manager of the reservations team, you are responsible for making sure the trip runs smoothly for the guest. It’s important that your enthusiasm shines through
  • You should have an ability to think beyond the subject, and consider the impacts it will have with programs, transfers, excursions, etc.
  • Language skills: Good conversational and written knowledge of Portuguese, at least basic conversational and written knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage
  • It is highly beneficial if you have experience in general back office tasks and touristic reservations. It would be an advantage if you already have experience in creating individual and group trips for tour operators or incoming travel agencies. Those with an eagerness to learn are also welcome to apply
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.). Writing emails in Portuguese and English
  • We would ideally prefer you to join us as a full-time employee, however it is also possible to work for us part-time
